THE 5 STAGES OF COMPREHENDING MORTALITY

LOS ANGELES —

Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop" who once moonwalked above the music world, died Thursday as he prepared for a comeback bid to vanquish nightmare years of sexual scandal and financial calamity. He was 50.
Jackson died at
UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.
"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.
Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

STOP. That is how Media America sees this.

Now here's MY Story.

If you could be selfless would you?

If there was something that you could do for the world and not ask for one ounce of credit, what would it be?

June 25th, 2009 will be a date etched in everyone's mind.

A gift was taken from us in an untimely measure.

Michael Joseph Jackson, hopefully you will find the peace and joy you were looking for... knocking on Heaven's Door.

(let him in God, he's a good dude.)

1. The Numbness.

When I heard of MJ's passing I first didnt wanna even think about it. It didnt, couldnt, wouldnt happen and it was a sick joke.

People need to stop playing around, we just lost Farrah and Ed McMahon.

Phone call. Its true. No... its not. Hmm... nothing. No feeling. Didnt happen.

2.Defiance

Yall play too fucking much. Stop playing Michael Jackson isnt dead. 5:37 EST CNBC Pronounces that KTLA confirms that Michael Jackson has passed away due to a cardiac arrest. Nah.. cant be. Remote in hand I go to flipping the channels... All say the same. Michael Jackson dead at 50.

I still dont believe it.

3. Anger

WHO WHAT WHEN WHY AND HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN?

Who was with Mike? WHat happened? Why did it have to happen to MJ? And of course HOW?!?!

Breathe breathe breathe... wow... now here comes..

4. Acceptance

Thinking back on the times that music was incredible, The Jackson 5 has always been at the helm of R&B. And you can agree with me about the special soul that MJ has had since childhood. Smooth in voice and flawless in step, J5 has allowed their front man (or brother) to come into our homes and make us a part of their world. From those that believed early (Diana Ross, Berry Gordy, Ed Sullivan etc etc) we salute and thank you for your vision fufilled.

5. Expression

This is where I let you know that in my heart... Michael will forever be King.

I will miss your presence and will hold your music valuable like the time that we have on our lives. You have molded and shaped a generation of people that have grown to know you as the standard in music, and your humanitarian spirit is one of a great man that has compassion and reverence.

You have raised the bar not only of music, but of being a human being.

God Bless.

THIS IS MY SH*T. FLAT OUT HIP HOP IS SPEAKING TO ME RIGHT CHEA... YERDIGGGG?

WOW..........Air Sex?

Air Sex Competition Trailer Photos Twitter After a year of sold out shows at the Alamo Drafthouse and the Paramount theater in Austin, TX, the Air Sex World Championships are taking to the road and touring fifteen U.S. cities in the search for this year’s Air Sex Champion. Air Sex is sort of like Air Guitar, except instead of pretending to play an invisible guitar on stage, contestants get up there and pretend to have sex with someone who isn’t there. With their clothes on, typically. They pick a song to perform to and then have two minutes to impress the judges with their overall Airness. The concept for Air Sex originated in a small club in Japan, and YouTube clips of a Japanese oddity TV show from Britain burned up the Internet two years ago. When that video landed on League’s desk, he knew it was a show that had to be brought to America. The first Air Sex Championship season took place exclusively in Austin, with semi-monthly competitions at the Alamo Drafthouse and a finals performance, pitting all the winners of previous rounds against each other, in the historic Paramount Theater as part of the opening night of Fantastic Fest. To find a new champion for this year, we are taking the Air Sex crew on the road across North America for three weeks, bringing along emcees, judges, and performers that wowed the crowds in Austin last year. In each city, they’ll be inviting local Air Sexers up to the stage at rock club venues, and the winner of each round will be flown to the Air Sex World Championship Finals later this summer. - Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Blog For any and all potential participants please email chris@airsexworldchampionships.com

Salut': Iz The Wiz Dies at 49

Peace to a Legend in the Graf circuit...
Modern graffiti was born in New York, where it was associated with the emergence of hip hop culture. Iz the Wiz was among its most prolific practitioners, making his name among the "writers" (as graffiti artists call themselves) during the 1970s and 1980s. He began his career – or, as he called it, "street-taggin' " – in 1972, when he was only 14.
Born on November 30 1958, Michael Martin grew up in the Queens district of New York. He later recalled: "I wanted to do something with myself and be a part of something. The neighbourhood I was in – it was either become a gangster, a drug addict, a musician or – here's something new. It was creative, it was secretive, it was a secret society."
Line by line, Iz took over the city's subway system, sometimes executing 100 "throw-ups" (one-colour outlines with one-colour fill-ins) in a single night. He was also known for his larger, much more elaborate pieces (or "burners").
The New York writers devised an entire lexicon to describe their art. A "whole car", for example, was a work that covered the entire visible surface of a subway car. When Iz was asked how many whole cars he had produced, he replied: "You mean, like, burner top-to-bottom jammies? Oh I don't know, I never counted but I know in the years '81-'82 I did no less than 25, and that was just in that time period."
They also created alter egos. Among Iz's writing partners were Epic 1 and 2; FI 1; Vinny; Evil 13; and Jester. "We were the diehards," Iz declared. "We kept on bombing [painting multiple surfaces] till there was no more paint."
Iz the Wiz's style was wild, psychedelic and always idiosyncratic. At one stage he was president of the graffiti group (or "crew") the Master Blasters and of the Queens division of Prisoners Of Graffiti. He also painted for The Odd Partners, The Crew and The Three Yard Boys.
One of the attractions for the subway writer was that his creations moved constantly around the city, thus reaching a wide audience – "a way of getting your name from Point A to Point B", as Iz put it. A fellow graffiti artist, Asis, said: "I remember riding the trains and walking the tunnels through Queens when I was a kid.
"All I saw was Iz everywhere I turned. He had tags [signatures] and throw-ups in the wildest places in every tunnel through Queens and Brooklyn. The coolest thing I remember was that Iz was a legend and I was just starting out and he made me feel like we were one and the same. That's rare to find, writers are egotistical beasts and Iz and his crew were as down-to-earth as they come even though they were true master blasters."
Iz himself said: "What I was doing was for fun. What it turned out to be was an added plus. It was an art form developed by kids to have fun, it was an escape. A 'king' [a respected graffiti artist] is someone you want to write with or fight with. The object of being a king is to have more [graffiti] than everyone else. Not the biggest, or the most beautiful – but more."
By the mid-1980s the authorities in New York were beginning to eliminate graffiti from the city's subway system, thanks principally to the introduction of much-improved security. Iz diversified, painting freight trains and walls in Queens, and in the 1990s was instrumental in the development of the Phun factory as a place where writers could paint legally, allowing many writers to emerge from retirement.
Iz the Wiz appeared in a documentary film, Style Wars, and in the early hip hop film Wild Style, and his work has been displayed in galleries throughout the world.
For the past decade Michael Martin had suffered from kidney problems, and many believed that his illness derived from his years inhaling toxic paint fumes and dust from the subway tunnels.
He had moved to Florida and had been in financial difficulties, lacking enough money to pay his rent and fund his medical care. He said recently of the fame he had achieved: "I would trade it all back for perfect health."
Martin collapsed at his brother's home in Florida on June 17, apparently from a heart attack.
Only recently he had visited an art gallery in the Bronx where he entertained fans by painting life-size replicas of subway cars.

Chris Brown Wow... No Jail Time?

June 22, 2009, 5:44 PM EST
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault on pop star Rihanna.

Brown entered his plea before a preliminary hearing was scheduled to start in Los Angeles on Monday.

Rihanna had been on standby to testify.

After Brown left the courtroom, Rihanna entered and was addressed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg, who explained to the Barbados-born singer that she had issued a stay-away order.

Rihanna had not been seeking a stay-away order, but the judge imposed one. The order requires that Brown and Rihanna stay at least 50 yards from each, except at industry events when the distance is reduced to 10 yards.

More on WonderWall: Brown gets 5 years probation
The judge also told Rihanna it's not a one-way order and she will be in violation if she gets closer to Brown than the order allows.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, said the plea deal includes five years of supervised probation and six months of community labor. Brown will be formally sentenced on Aug. 5.

Schnegg accepted Brown's plea, but expressed some concerns because Brown is not a California resident. She said Brown likely will be allowed to do his community service in his home state of Virginia. He'll have to return to California for updates every three months. He'll also be required to attend domestic violence classes.

Brown spoke softly throughout the hearing as he waived his rights and told the judge he understood the gravity of his plea.

"I think it's commendable you took responsibility for your conduct," Schnegg told Brown.

She said she hoped "the terms and conditions of your probation will have some meaning."

The deal provides an end to a case that sparked intense media interest and severe backlash against Brown. Sponsors and radio stations dropped him, and the singer had to cancel several high-profile appearances, including a performance at the Grammys.

The singer once known for his squeaky-clean image now has a substantial blemish on his record. He must now also remain out of trouble for the foreseeable future.

Lawyers for Brown and Rihanna have refused to discuss the status of the pair's relationship.

Brown was arrested Feb. 8, hours after police say he hit and threatened Rihanna after leaving a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles. He was later charged with felony assault likely to produce great bodily harm and making criminal threats.

If convicted, the singer faced sentences ranging up to nearly five years in prison.

Brown, 20, rose to fame after the 2005 hit "Run It!" and his popularity has only grown. He was nominated for a Grammy for "No Air" with Jordin Sparks and named Billboard's top artist in 2008.

In the months since the incident, both musicians have gradually appeared in public more frequently. Lately they have been photographed separately, including at a National Basketball Association finals game between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers.

Rihanna, 21, recorded one of 2007's most popular songs with "Umbrella" and has numerous other hits. Her looks have made her a cover girl for magazines, as well as a pitchwoman for Cover Girl cosmetics.

Will I Am Thuggin? Perez Hilton watch your F**kin Mouuuuuuuuth!

And Perez....

Bottom Line is.... Perez Hilton you arent untouchable.. you go around thinking that you can say what you want to and then when someone gewts upset, you wanna go byatch and call the Police... Props to Will...

All I can say is... SHAM WOW...

ShamWow Guy Says He's All Hookered Out
It took a nearly severed tongue for the pitchman to realize prostitutes are bad news
Vince Shlomi should be more careful about where he puts his tongue.
No experience is worth going through if you don't learn a lesson. Some wise man said that, we think, or it might be the new slogan for ShamWow pitchman Vince Shlomi.
Shlomi just says no to prostitutes.
Shlomi recently told TMZ.com that he "gave up" on dealing with hookers after his South Beach ordeal earlier this year that made more news than those super-absorbent thingies he hocks.
In February, Shlomi and his hired honey got into a blood bath in a hotel room that ended with Shlomi's tongue nearly bitten off and the prostitute being punched upside the head by the pitchman. Shlomi allegedly paid the woman $1,000 for "straight sex" but got a little too frisky for her tastes.
Both face felony aggravated battery charges for the incident.

The New Phenomenon?

I first heard dude in 2007 on Trey Songz's Replacement Girl and told the world then... "This kid is going to be a problem"... Obviously I was right. Drake has come at the right time and is spitting the correct game to make the world see things through his eyes.. I can honestly say that this dude has some hot sauce to cut the mustard and make the rest of the rap game catch up (ketchup). Ok I know that was corny but still...
His newest songs "The Best Ive Ever Had" and "Every Girl" have shot up in the club world and has taken the airwaves by storm! But the one track that has really caught my ear is the newest one called "SUCCESSFUL". A really gritty yet subdued track that spits out the realness with a haunting chorus.. I just wanna be success---fulll.... I just wanna be... I just wanna be success---ulll...Wow...
I am a believer... at least for the moment.. So now I know who's been penning all the Lil Wayne hits for the past couple of years....All good... Hats off to you Drake... do the Hip Hop community proud man.
Cant wait for the album.

WARNING... BE SAFE (PLEASE READ)

The report -- and what state and county health officials perceive as stonewalling by the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation, which tests porn performers for sexually transmitted diseases -- is bringing renewed scrutiny to the estimated $12-billion-a-year industry's long history of resisting regulation and condom use."AIM Healthcare has never been cooperative with us and our investigations," said Dean Fryer, a spokesman for the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health. So far, the San Fernando Valley-based clinic has declined to tell county or state officials the name of the performer or her employer."You'd think they'd want to be a full partner in trying to prevent the spread of this disease," said Dr. Jonathan Fielding, health officer for Los Angeles County. The performer first tested positive June 4, said Dr. Colin Hamblin, AIM's medical director. She worked the following day -- June 5 -- for reasons Hamblin said are still being investigated. A second positive result came back June 6. And the clinic is awaiting results of a third and final confirmatory test, he said. The actress had two recent sexual partners, according to AIM. One is a porn actor, now under work quarantine, who performed with the woman June 5. The other is her boyfriend. Those men have had sexual intercourse with an additional six people, who have all been notified and offered testing, Hamblin said. So far, no one known to have had contact with the woman or her partners has tested positive for HIV.Hamblin said the clinic is following all reporting rules, but because of patient privacy concerns cannot legally disclose the patient's name or employer to the county. "They also have to realize we have limitations too," Hamblin said. "We'd be happy to work with the county in any other capacity."Attorney Kim Martin, special counsel to the state health and worker safety agency, said that the state health department and other public health agencies are exempt from those privacy laws and that they will continue seeking cooperation from the clinic. In a statement published on AIM's website, Sharon Mitchell, the clinic's co-founder and a former porn star who appeared in more than 2,000 films, said the media was "like a moth to a flame.""Rumor is rampant when the words 'HIV' and 'porn' are in the same sentence," she said.Mitchell said AIM's clinic has been a leader in promoting prevention and testing. But, she added, "we are not the police department of the industry nor wish to be."Public statements from clinic representatives downplaying the incident -- which one clinic official called "not a major event" -- drew some criticism."This industry screams for regulation," said Michael Weinstein, president of the Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation. "Cal-OSHA needs to require that condoms be used in any film. Yesterday."The positive HIV test has concerned health officials and AIDS activists because the Valley is one of the leading producers of pornography in the world, with about 200 production companies that employ about 1,200 people who work as adult performers, and about 5,000 others. With some of the nation's largest pornography producers based in the Valley, any disease has the potential to spread quickly. The 16 unpublicized HIV cases were not investigated by county public health officials, partly because privacy rules before 2006 prevented the disclosure of the names of HIV-infected individuals to government agencies. Because no government investigation of those cases took place, it is unclear whether those performers contracted HIV at work or elsewhere.County officials were able to investigate the HIV outbreak in 2004 because AIM disclosed the names of the infected performers to the public. In that outbreak, Darren James, a well-known porn star, infected three actresses he had worked with before learning that he was HIV-positive. Another unrelated performer also tested positive. The cases spurred a series of public hearings, but legislation to force safer practices quietly expired without a vote.No state laws specifically require condom use and the vast majority of heterosexual porn movies are shot "bareback," an industry term for unprotected sex.State labor codes, however, do require use of personal protective equipment and protection against blood or bodily fluids in the workplace. Since 2004, five adult entertainment companies have been cited for a variety of violations. Each case has been settled, state officials said.Since 2004, 2,378 people who identified themselves as adult film industry performers have tested positive for chlamydia in Los Angeles County. An additional 1,357 tested positive for gonorrhea and 15 for syphilis, according to data released Thursday by the county's health department.Public health experts tried again in 2007 and 2008 to require condom use in adult films, but no lawmaker agreed to sponsor legislation, said Paula Tavrow, an assistant professor at UCLA's School of Public Health. But porn industry executives and officials, including its advocacy group the Free Speech Coalition, argue that they do a good job of self-regulation and say that the rates of HIV infection remain low. If laws are passed requiring condom use, they said, porn production would be pushed underground or outside California.John Stagliano, a former porn star and president of Evil Angel productions, said: "The market determines whether or not this will be shown. A government agency the size of Los Angeles couldn't stop it. It's not going to change."

THAT THERE SHOULD LET YOU KNOW WHO I AM ALONE.
CHECK THE BIO AND SOAK IT ALL IN.
WE GO HARD RIGHT NOW.
Many can boast about being a mix tape king and the #1 DJ, but how many can actually say that they’re a PIONEER? Enter the Legendary DJ Showtime.
In an industry where gimmicks and trends sell, Showtime has stuck to a formula that undoubtedly works and has served him well for over 2 decades. HARD WORK AND CONSISTENCY. Having over 5,000 venues done and millions of dedicated fans of his work, Showtime will strike you as the everyday guy next door… until the lights go low and the music starts to play. You will be taken on a ride that you will not want to get off of.
Early in his teens, Showtime began working as an opening DJ in Harlem, NY learning and perfecting his craft. By the time he reached his early 20's, he was already making an impact on the Hip Hop world as a prominent figure behind the turntables. Influences like Brucie Bee, Kid Capri, Love Bug Starski, Hollywood, and a host of others made Showtime a more focused DJ, realizing that the power to make crowds move and shake was phenomenal. It was at that point that Showtime started making mix tapes which helped promote his skills on the tables to the likes of Urban America. Showtime honed his skills to which he was able to gain residency in several Hip Hop clubs. He also was considered to be a part of NYC's first DJ clique, Hard Pack, which was founded by mix tape promoters, Rock and Will. The Hard Pack became one of the best known organizations in mix tape history, gaining national fame in The Source Magazine, Rap Pages and on MTV's Yo! MTV Raps, which was hosted by Fab 5 Freddy. The mid 90's were crucial for Showtime because this was the time in which major definition took place in his career. Showtime's mix tape sales were high in volume and that led him to become one of the most highly respected Mix Tape Dj's in his time. He is still remembered as one of the pioneers of the mix tape arena and recognized as one of the top club DJ's in New England. In 1997, Showtime became a Mix show DJ at WNEZ JAMZ 910 AM. His show, The Friday Night Thunderstorm, took the airwaves with an extreme and influential acceptance. During this time, his slot had the highest Arbitron ratings for a mix show in Connecticut (33.1 share). His career exploded on a commercial radio level. In 2000, Showtime was also awarded Urban Network's Mix show DJ of the Year. In 2002 Showtime was named The Mix Show Power Summit’s most slept on DJ of the Year. Since then Showtime has been a mixer for various Urban Stations before making his home as Mix Show Coordinator and On Air Personality/Mixer on WPHH Power 104.1 Showtime is also a part of one of the most influential organizations of DJ's in the field of music today known as the CORE DJ'S. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING CREDIBLE (DJS PLEASE READ)

CREDIBILITY:

Credibility refers to the objective and subjective components of the believability of a source or message.
Traditionally, credibility has two key components: trustworthiness and expertise, which both have objective and subjective components. Trustworthiness is a based more on subjective factors, but can include objective measurements such as established reliability. Expertise can be similarly subjectively perceived, but also includes relatively objective characteristics of the source or message (e.g., credentials, certification or information quality). Secondary components of credibility include source dynamism (charisma) and physical attractiveness.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Re*spon`si*bil"i*ty\ (r?*sp?n`s?*b?l"?*t?), n.; pl. -ties (-t?z). [Cf. F. responsabilit['e].]
1. The state of being responsible, accountable, or answerable, as for a trust, debt, or obligation.
2. That for which anyone is responsible or accountable; as, the resonsibilities of power.
3. Ability to answer in payment; means of paying.

**remember these definitions and please refer back to them as much as you may while reading this post.**

___________________________________________________________________

So its Saturday Night and youre about to go out on the town. You worked hard all week.. spent money on a new outfit, shoes/kicks and got your head straight with either a cut or a new hairdo.

Next question is... "Whats poppin for the night"

Simply this. You want to be at the spot where its all happening. The drinks are right, people are looking beautiful and the MUSIC IS TIGHT! So.. you are going to make sure you party with the most relevant person and place in the area. The Hottest DJ and Club.

The only thing is...You dont trust anything but the dollar in your pocket! DJ's..we dont mean sh*t anymore... most people dont even know the name of the DJ in th club let alone how credible he is for breaking records or creating hits.

Reason? Corporate Media has taken your credibility and has began to become responsible for ALLOWING the public to dictate to YOU whats hot and whats not.

How did this happen? Remember that call you got from so and so from such and such records?

Remember that feedback you gave to so and so? for how many years did you feed so and so your ideas and values, your ethics on how the artist can become better if...

Remember?

Then remember how such and such MEDIA company all of a sudden wanted to do a Mix CD with so and so dj?..

then SO and SO dj and so forth and so on? But you never got that shot?

but you KEPT on getting requests for feedback? Lol... let me break it down to you.

YOU GOT JACKED HOMIE!

Its kinda like the PD that stole all your ideas and then fired you because YOU were the threat that would soon replace him. 9/10ths of the industry doesnt even understand how its own gears turn, and YOU do! Wanna know why? Your PASSION has made you CARE.. and CARING IS RESPONSIBILITY! And being responsible makes you CREDIBLE. You know how the game works, who the major players are and whos next to blow. You know how to automatically turn a wake into a celebration in the club, and your knowledge is IMPORTANT to the industry for its SURVIVAL! Wanna check something funny out? Ask an A&R What does A&R mean and what doesn an A&R actually do... go ahead... I'll wait.

BOTTOM LINE. MOST CATS IN THE MUSIC BIZ ONLY WORK FOR A CHECK NOWADAYS AND THEY DONT GIVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT THE PRESERVATION OF RAP OR HIP HOP MUSIC. DONT LET THESE SUCKERS DRAW YOU IN AND SUCK YOUR BRAIN DRY OF ALL YOUR MILLION DOLLAR IDEAS SO THAT THEY CAN LOOK GOOD IN FRONT OF THEIR BOSSES. FIND THAT UP AND COMING TALENT AND GROOM IT TO BECOME CREDIBLE.. AND BECOME RESPONSIBLE FOR HIP HOP ONCE AGAIN.

PEACE PARTY PEOPLE IM OUT.. CYA LATER.

Dopeness On A Sunday Morning

Whatup ...Man Im just sitting back digging through some music and listening to good tunes while eating cold Pizza and Orange Juice...Nice...

Cant stop saying this over and over again.. Premier is SICKENING! Big Up! His productions are truly legendary and Id love to just sit there and watch him work when his creativity levels kick in.

Gangstarr has been a Hip Hop staple for as long as I remember. Upon coming on the scene I fell in love with the combination of Premo's gritty and raw beats and Guru's monotone delivery that amped the listener up with every line. But it got no better than this when teamed up with Branford Marsalis to deliever to the world what I would like to call the MASTERPIECE that brought the elements of Jazz and Poetry together to formulate this.

http://www.zshare.net/audio/610642567021d8ce/

Sharing is caring. I absolutely LOVE this track.. So dope..
Enjoy.

This ain't a tribute, you still here, word up You still here, Corleone
I know you can hear me cuz I'm still feelin you, oooh (Feelin you baby)
I know that you can hear me cuz I'm still feelin yoooou, yeah
Yeah yo If I recall it was Valentine's Day Me and the misses gettin ready for a night on the town to parlay The phone ring, I check the caller ID Seen your phone number, damn I shoulda answered it If I had the slighest idea that was gonna be our last convo, I woulda picked up yo Please accept my apology, I know you're listenin It ain't a day that go by without the crew sayin we miss him February 15th, you was judged by the most high I was really mad at God You had big plans, you was about to be the man and I'm Proud to death that you a part of the fam It be a privilege you associated wit us I hope you in a good place where life is love P.S. keep lookin over us, paw Wherever ya at, wherever ya are, love ya nigga
Now what's the deal, dog The tune really got me zonin So I can't build long cuz it feel wrong So I dedicate this to make this right Rep you to death so it's Flamboyant for life Missin you, wishin you were here back wit us On this track wit us, but the facts are rough Woulda loved to see you hit it off, that platinum stuff But my dog was layed to rest when the gat was bust You was the man in San Fran, headline in Amsterdam I even seen you put it on in Japan They had to barricade your wake cuz we came in packs To see L, Coogi and specks, wit the hat to match And that was dope, and if he woulda woke and spoke I bet my next royalty check he woulda cracked a joke 1-3-9 live nigga, the hood die young They say the good die young, Harlem fly nigga
I know you hear us, L I don't know how much can be taken by one man Lost you and my grandmother in a five-month span Thought we'd both live to see the golden years Drinkin beer on the sidewalk in foldin chairs If we couldn't spit rap, we'd live quite fat Playin chess in the park, you know sh*t like that When we first met, down at Rock and Will's Knew it wasn't gon' be a problem to cop you a deal Used to come through the block just to stop and build It was all just a dream but sh*t got for real When you signed your first deal, you went the slow route You was a bad mothaf**ker kid, no doubt You had the plan and all, standin tall We stay breakin night at the gamblin hall You know our steelo, we turn street corners into casinos Blackjack to C-lo's, Spades to Pokino We stack notes, played around, cracked jokes Now you a livin legend of rap quotes No doubt, you left a lastin impression That's why I'm not too fond of people askin me questions Your memories'll be hauntin to mines Or cats out there who didn't want you to shine They ain't know but I knew and you'll forever be Big L Corleone, Mister MVP, feel me?

REST IN PEACE MY NIG....
